For this project, my client requested a logo for his personal media company.
His main request for this logo was the incorporation of a monkey puzzle tree, a peculiar sort of tree, but one unique to him and a featured appearance throughout his online presence. Being a media company, I experimented with a media related graphic as well, but eventually my client settled on the tree being the only graphic element in the logo. I have illustrated briefly my design process below as well as my final deliverables.
I began my design process with a series of simple thumbnails using a monkey puzzle tree and media related elements (classic microphone, play button, media waves).
Once the basic tree shape had been settled on, I worked further with the media graphics to see how they might appear as part of the text portion of the logo.
In the end having two graphic elements felt a touch "busy" and the simple tree + business name was chosen.
The final result is a crisp logo that displays a clear hierarchy of information and speaks directly to my client's personality and the service their business provides.
